Being a Personal Assistant

Being a Personal Assistant can have many benefits such as flexible shifts, and opportunities to travel and visit new places. Qualifications and previous experience are useful, but not essential as shadowing and on-the-job training can be given.

P.As work directly with disabled people, assisting at home, at work or while socialising, to enable us to live the life we choose.

P.As provide ‘invisible’ assistance, to enable people with impairments to live a fully autonomous life.

P.As are practical, respectful, honest, reliable, and have good listening and communication skills, adapting to a variety of situations.

P.As can be involved in any aspect of life that we need them to be. As disabled people we choose who we wish to work with and when.

PAs listen to what we as individuals need and want, thus providing tailored support and assistance to fit our lifestyle.

PAs have the skills and intelligence to know when to ‘step back’, to ensure we are always the focus of any interaction or situation.

PA Recruitment

Recruiting a new P.A. can be stressful and time consuming, whether it’s your first time or the hundredth time. Over the years it’s become harder and harder to recruit due to the the changes in our society, ways in which we now advertise and the current demand on the labour market.

We have many years of personal experience of recruitment and understand how virtual it is to find the right person. Working with P.A’s is a very personal experience, especially when inviting them into our homes and private life.

We understand this and offer a personalised Recruitment Services based of the type of P.A. you’re looking for and the skills they need to have.
