I am proud to be supporting a Rickmansworth School in their search for a new Director of Finance and Operations. Rickmansworth School is a leading wityh school in the Hertfordshire area following the "Outstanding" ofsted rating in 2023. With demand for places in their school, they have exemplary student behaviour, fostering a culture where students love learning and thrive academically.
Following recent £6M investment in new facilities, including a Sixth-Form Centre, Performing Arts Theatres, and an Innovation & Design Centre. Our strong, stable financial position is supported by a robust PTA and Foundation.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Director of Finance and Business Operations to lead and enhance the strategic priorities of the school.
The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record in financial management and compliance. Experience in overseeing systems, ensuring robust support, and promoting staff development is essential. The ability to work collaboratively as part of the Senior Leadership Team, driving operational excellence and long-term sustainability for the school, is crucial.
You will ideally qualified ACA, CIPFA, CIMA or ACCA accountant who has had experience in a leadership role. This person would come from one of the following backgrounds.
- A like for like move which would see a Director move in to a new role where they can add their own touch on things.
- A School Finance or Business Manager with a finance background making their first step to a director level position
- A Charity, Non-Profit or Local Authority finance person who is looking to move in to a leadership role where they can draw on their expertise in budget and trustee management.
